Do we have, or would it a good idea to have, a B/L business card?

When I meet people and want to give them contact details I cannot remember the website details and never have any on me and have to just tell them to Google - Birdline. So if I had a card that had, for example, logo, contact details for North and South, website address etc and maybe a place for us to add aour mobile no. or we could write it on the back.

If it could be produced by B/L so we can print our own off......I would certainly use them... Need not even be on the proper cards that you can buy can be on card or paper and be cut up so need not cost a lot.

i dont know if this helps but for my car club i have them made by vista print.
you can make your own designs and they will make you 500 (i think it was) and you only pay for postage which was about £3.

I've been printing my own business cards for years - I have the Birdline logo, Charity number, my name, title, telephone and e-mail address, and the website. Dead easy. I get business cards from WH Smith and job done. I just print off a sheet of 10 at a time. If anyone wants to see what they look like, pm me and I'll send you my one, which you can alter. I put my tel. no. on, but you could put the official Birdline contact number instead if you prefer.

Vistaprint did the same to us. Apparently I didn't untick the box to say I didn't want to be a member of there club thingy so they kept taking it every month. Only found out when my credit card was max'd out!!!. Very expensive mistake!!.

I have advertised BL on the back of my business cards since I joined. I thought I should check with the new managment that this was still OK, they have approved the following design. I have it in Publisher and as a jpeg file if anyone wants to use it.

Great card. Good idea. We do the same for Northumberland Greyhounds - when I am out with the dogs and people ask about the dogs it is great just to be able to hand out a card with website and contact details as I can never remember web address etc.

I have mine on Publisher, too. Easy enough to create - have a go! I've put my own details on it (email, telephone, mobile) as well as the website.

Hey Guys,

Just a quick note on this. As you may have noticed, we are no longer using the Macaw logo. I do have an official Birdline business card template here, but it's in PSD format so you would need photoshop to do it.

So, I'll post an example here. If anyone wants me to do a business card template for them, please email me your details to marc@birdline.org.uk and I will make up a template and send it to you in whatever format you want. You can then take it to your printers and get them printed out.

I personally buy business cards from Staples, then print them myself on our printer. We buy the Decadry Business Cards 250 g/m Microperforated. They are fairly heavy paper so when you seperate them, they feel better than the flimsy stuff.

OK, gimme a minute and I'll post more info...

OK, this is an example of the Birdline business card...

If you would like me to do one for you, please email your deails to marc@birdline.org.uk and I will create an image file for you that you can print or take to a printer.. please let me know what format you want it in.

Now as I mentioned earlier, I use the Decadry 250gsm business cards and print them at home.

Decaldry Business Cards

I simply create the card in JPG  format, then import into word. The word document has the correct spacing etc to print the right amount in the right location. The word document is also attached to this post.

Any questions, let me know.
