Was experimenting yesterday afternoon and made some sponge fingers( birdy recipe), when they had cooled I got a syringe , filled it with runny honey and syringed it into the middle of the sponge fingers, I then put them onto blunt ended skewers and hung them around the cages, the burdies loved them, spoilt lickle babes.

base recipe for birdy sponges/muffin........organic unbleached flour, honey or dark muscavardo sugar to sweeten, butter and eggs and milk (semi skimmed), you can add just about anything to the mixture but if you use plain flour you will need the baking powder (1- 2 tsp per 100gs). I made some very 'sticky' muffins for the birdies a while back, use banana, crushed hazelnuts, almonds, cashews and brazil nuts, brushed the muffins with honey and rolled them in the nuts, again they did enjoy them.

My one aim is to serve the parrots in my care, to help those to weak to defend themselves, and bring alittle happiness into their lives, I prefer parrots to people but can handle them in moderation :)
