As a total idiot with the computer and not understanding anything technical I have been unable to make a post on the new forums since the day it changed. At first I thought it was the computer and was ready to chuck it out the window!! Talking to Hollie on the phone the other day I said I have never been able to get onto the chat either. She told me some people had had a problem and to go through Internet Explorer instead of what I usually use (which is Firefox) . I tried and eventually got on but the menu bar which usually comes up above the picture of the bird was missing so had to push every which button till I got there. I am now going through Internet Explorer to try to put this post . Going through Firefox I could read everything but as soon as I tried to click on to write anything the the screen just  kept going blank and refusing to do anything including logging off. Coming through Internet Explorer again the menu bar is still missing. There is a bit on the screen saying Internet Explorer is running with add-ons disabled so whether this has anything to do with the missing menu I have no idea. I am now going to try to post this so if anyone can help I would be very grateful. Any replies in computer idiot speak please as my computer knowledge can be written on the back of a postage stamp change that to half a postage stamp!!

Hi There,

First thing we need to check is your security settings. I think the easiest way to do this would be to add this site to your trusted sites. In internet explorer, click on Tool then Internet Options. Now click on the Security Tab, and click on Trusted Sites. Click on the Sites button. Take the tick out of the "Requires server verification" box, then in the Add this web site to the zone box, enter http://www.parrot-rescue.org.uk and click the Add button. Press OK, then OK again. Now close your browser and try again. Let us know if this works.
