Harley our birdline african grey came into birdline plucked and had been caged for quite a number of years. At our old house he came out and ventured around, did not like being touched and would only step up from the floor.

When we moved everyone was saying IM NOT Getting him in the carry cage  Anyway spent several weeks enticing him into the carry cage with treats untill he eventually went in on his own, Phew no fingers missing

He is still plucked and interacts in other ways rather than being handled, well I was taking my safehouse shopping the other night and Chaz fed the birds and like a bolt of lightning Harley stepped onto Chazs hand walked upto his shoulder and sat there !!! My little man, I am so proud of him. Big steps for this little man and to see him in full flight doing laps of the room was breath taking. This has taken him 2 years to do this

Here are some pics.

Im sooo proud bless him

Oh Mel I know how proud you must feel - and rightly so. Harley has clearly decided that your hubby's worth trusting up close - good on you Harley! Let's hope this is the start of even more to come x

That is such great news. I love hearing success stories. I hope Harley continues to recover.
