Hi there my name is Pauline. I stay in Fife, Scotland.

My first experience with our feathered friends was approximately three and a half years ago when Stan my male tiel came into my life. Scooter a female tiel followed one year. Thought i was doing Stan a favour but he was never the same bird. They soon bonded, didnt know definately their sex and they were both bought from pet shops. Unfortunately Stan died eighteen months ago, I miss my Stan.

One week after Stan died i took on Gizmo, an Orange Winged Amazon ( dna sex female). I would be her fourth home in five years. Her age today approximatetly six years old. She has come on so much and ive just nearly wet myself as she has just walked over to my baby grey and stole a twig from her ha ha That is how well she has come on.

Here is a pic of Gizmo soaked looking out the window

Shortly after Dusty my baby grey came home last December i took the decision to rehome Scooter to a lady who wanted a companion for her male tiel. Apparently Scooter has settled in well and again rules the roost.Dusty my baby grey was born on the same day as me but obviously a different year. Just over a year now and my wee girl i think has settled into my flock. Anyhow ill shut up now, here she is at 14 months old.

They are my babies and i love them both so much xx

Hi Pauline and welcome to the forum! It's lovely to see your flock . Have you thought about joining BL? It costs only £20 a year, gives you access to other areas of the forum and makes you eligible to safehouse or foster our feathered friends, if that's what you would want. You'll find everyone here friendly and helpful and sometimes a bit crazy.

I'm in Manchester with our 2 BL CAGs (fostered and shown below) and our safehouse tiel, Dixie Dean. Hope to meet in chat sometime. I know that our Scottish membership is on the increase and I think we already have someone in Fife.

I know Cowdenbeath Pauline as it's not far from here. We've been there to do a homecheck a few months back so you're not the only member from sunny Cowden

How are you getting on navigating your way around the site? x

Hiya Pauline, yes I've got an African Grey, I also have a Cockatoo and a Macaw just now. We safe-house for Birdline so our numbers and species vary greatly. Safe-housing is a great way to get experience with a whole variety of birds and also help. We are always desperate for good safe-houses, especially in Scotland ( hint, hint ) so if you're interested in finding out more please let me know.
