Hi everyone,
My name is Caroline and I live in Leeds West Yorkshire. At present I am a full time bird slave to 3 very cheeky greys called Charlie, Keeko and Jasper, they are the loves of my life. The eldest is nearly 3 and the youngest is 18 months.
My friends think I am a total nut for owning and spoiling the greys the way I do, the family holidays have gone and all my time is spent with my lovely greys. I wouldnt have it any other way and hope in the future that I could also give a home to a rescue bird when the right one comes along.
Ive been a member on another forum since I got my first grey Charlie, I only found out about your forum a couple of days ago off one of your friendly members who invited me to join.
I am really looking forward to getting to know some other bird owners from the UK as I dont have many birdie friends except for the ones I have on Facebook. Im not quite sure how you post your photos on here, can you do them off photobucket as I have an account on there.
It will take me a while to navigate around your Forum as its so big! I cant wait to look through all the different rooms. Thats all I can think of for now, Im looking forward to speaking with everyone |

A robin living in a tree
Up and singing before dawn
Seeking worms out on the lawn
Outside whether rain or sun
That’s a life that is not fun
Inside I am snug and warm

Food is always in my dish.

Hi Caroline and welcome to BL and the forum. Whereabouts in the country are you? As for photos, save them in photobucket after resizing to around 500x400 and then when in photobucket cut and paste the IMG reference. See if that works. I'm in Manchester btw with our 2 BL fostered CAGs and our safehouse tiel. |

Hi Caroline and welcome, Like everyone has said you will be made to feel really welcome, I joined nearly two years ago after applying for just the one grey, now I have 3 Macaws, and 2 MullY too's, 1 Brolly too and 1 lsc too, I did get my grey but sadly she was old and had a good last year and passed this summer at a good age of 49. You will learn lots things and some of good advice, including how to put your pics up lol, but most of all you will make some friends with like minded people and hopefully foster or safehouse a BL baby. And then really go for it and go to shows which you will hear all about on the forum - anyhow welcome xx |
