Hi everyone,

my name is Alix and I have just joined the Birdlilne Site.  My stepmum Traci is on here all the time.  We have just fostered Dixie the cockatiel and I am his new mum.  He is the perfect size for me to start learning all about birds.  I met him today and love him already.  I want to learn to help Traci with any safehouse birdys when she gets them.

I have met Rick and Donna from Birdline before and i love Ricks birdy Seven.

I am at my dads every other weekend so will talk to you all again soon , I'm off to speak to Dixie before I have to go home to mums for school tomorrow.

Bye

Hi Alix, welcome. You'll have to let us know how it's going with Dixie training - he threatens to peck but usually backs off, realising that he's not really the big boy he thinks he is. Please keep us updated and post lots of pictures. Oh, and you'd better teach him not to nibble Traci and Colin's curtains lol - he is a little devil with nibbling things.

Kerry, Dixie is very definitely a boy (no tail bars) and he knows just how handsome he is

Hi Alix,

Congratulations on being a Mum. I know you will be brilliant with Dixie, you were so brave when you came to see all the birds here and they all really liked you. I think you have a special way with birds and I bet you Dixie will love you in no time. Keep us all informed and post lots of pictures.

Hope to see you soon

Love Donna and Seven xxx
