Just wondered if the rehoming applications  have been considered, I did apply for the two Senegals, two weeks before Xmas but have had no response at all, wondered if it had been received, did email Rick with query but received no reply.

No rehoming sites up and running yet??

Me too.  I applied to rehome a little Timneh at the beginning of December and I'm desperate to know what's happening.

I have had a phone call and am waiting for the next stage, I know everyone's busy though.

Hi as with all breaks after Christmas the volunteers have to get ontop of paperwork and refreshing everything please be assured the powers that be are working very hard behind the scenes, that and the reorganisation of the way rehoming is done ie new rehoming managers please bear with them and they will contact you shortly I am sure...... And believe me if you are sucessful it is worth the wait x

HI Guys just backing up what Lou was saying, we have upto 100 applications for each bird and the rehoming officer have to read through them and then short list and then talk to the potential foster homes, this process can be quite lengthy. All has to be done in the rehoming officers spare time.

Sorry for the haste, I appreciate that other people also need holidays and time, It was just that the birds I was keen on where based in Newccastle (I think) and I was heading down that way in a couple or so weeks...it would just have been handy, that it I was fortunate to be allocated the birds I could have collected then.....
I will remain patient....oh and quiet!!

Quiet davina lol.......we are all a noisey lot on here .....just shows how much you really want to foster....just like being a kid at christmas, im the same even though we know we have to wait it still doesnt stop you wanting it now lol. Sure things will be up and running again soon, Certain birds can get masses of applicants it must take a while trying to figure out which is going to be the perfect home ,

There has been loads of work going on behind the scenes, the site being updated, aco paperwork, databases etc,and it all takes time to get through. It wont be too much longer Im sure.So please be patient.Just lately there hasnt been enough hours in the day for any of us.

the re-homing list isn't up yet, but hopefully will be up and running soon. I'm sure an email will be sent round to let members know when it's back up

It is just as frustrating for us safe houses who have birds that are ready to go to their forever homes and can't take in any more safehouse birds until the ones we have move on. I'm sure there is good reason for the delay so just hang in there- you will get your bird.

I agree Lorna! I have been on both sides..... on tender hooks waiting to see if my application to foster had been accepted and also having sh birds just wanting them to get on the list so they can get to their new forever home.

God grant me patience, but grant it me NOWWWWWW!

The rehoming team is waiting on SH's and ACO to get their new forms in as quick as they can so we can get the birds on the rehoming list
