I have been adding calcium and mineral supplement to Danny's Tidy Mix, problem with this is that some will stick, a lot will drop through and it all depends on Danny actually eating some of the foods that it has stuck to, would it be better to dip something like a grape, being the favourite food, to ensure uptake, if so any ideas on how often? thanks.

If you toss the seeds in a very small amount of walnut oil or similar, the seed becomes tacky, and then toss in the vits etc. they stick to the seed. No waste.

A trick I use with some of mine that are fussy with fruit & veg, is to make them toast, and then sprinkle the vits over that, and they eat it all up. I use vitamins daily for all of mine, for plucking birds I use Calcivet 5 times wk, and other birds, 2 times wk

Thanks, I will try the toast and a little bit of walnut oil and his dry food, he's not over keen on the fruit and veg but is improving so don't want to do anything to put him off.
