wow oddie, brill pics ...gonna have to get this lot 1 of those stands.....

its a pain spraying 6+ birds then mopping up after....

any ideas how to get them used to the shower ( there greys )

Thanks I try to take photos using settings and stuff but they all come out cr&* (it's OK Kerry isn't moderating) so I just put all settings to auto and press press press.


I think Jake in the shower is the best one, he looks like a rock star with that soggy white mullet and bare chest. It's impossible for toos to ever look anything but gorgeous


I let them sit around the edges first, they were loving the overspill droplets, then I made a little head umbrella and took them under by hand, eventually I let them make their own mind up. It took about 5mins for them to brave the main flow.

to tell you the truth, I get in the shower with them, and they are so comfortable with me, that they love it, they have the option to get out, as i rest my arm to get out of the spray! After doing that a few time they get in happily on their own, but in all honesty the pictures of me with my macaw in my shower are brill (not that they are coming on here lol)..! Charlie comes in the shower every time I go in - if I don't let her in she follows the noise of the shower lol and gets in anyway...but each bird is different, I am just very lucky all of mine go in the shower with me or on their own, my kids are well experienced now and rotate bringing the birds in whilst I am showering lol! The perches are fab, but the best way is with you and lots of cuddles, and then onto the shower curtain/glass divider so they can choose to get in again if they want! The only down side to it, is if you are showering in a caravan with your birds, there is not much room and if you don't let them in they like to scream very loudly till you let them in lol!

Also my macaws love being at the top with the heavy flow as opposed to the light sprinkle and they love the warm not cold water!
