If you look on the re-homing part for companion cockatoos there is a male goffins cockatoo that is a quiet boy up for rehoming. similar size to a ducorps. they will still be able to communicate as they are both cockatoos therefore know when the other one is affectionate or aggresive. cause i know you mentioned you were unsure whether they would be able to understand each other, she will understand another cockatoo. my umbrella and ducorps have never bickered ,bit each other or squabbled, when my umbrella is hormonal he knows instantly by her body language and gets out of her way......my umbrella also is quite horny certain times of the month, you cant stroke her without her panting, and whenever she sees any bare flesh she is stooping and swishing on it, usually my sons leg when he's lay on the sofa with her...... but she cuddles up next to the ducorps every night preening and kissing....some birds are very broody and have this uncontrolable urge to nest.....

Hi Heather
I have a male lesser sulpher who also mated with your hands (This time of year) and started at his feathers, I found that when I placed rope toys and leather in his cage he slowly stopped the stripping of feathers and started on the rope type toys also you could try milk thistle in her water 4/5 drops a day for about 4 weeks or so I know that yours is a Ducorps and mine is a sulpher but it may be worth a try.
