Now Ian, that's not exactly how the conversation went The reason that I persuaded you a macaw (B&G, I believe) was a bad idea was you knew the pet shop would just replace him and you couldn't be sure he wasn't ill and would give something nasty to Oodie and Foodie.

I'll give you 2 weeks after permanent settling in the UK before you SH and about 4 weeks till Shell persuades you to become an ACO. So, you'll need a bigger (not 'man') car to transport birds

Oh, and I suspect Vicky W may disagree with the A Level Budgie after some of the things you've been saying lately. She'd almost certainly give you an unclassified PMSL. Only kidding, honest.

Seriously Steve, SH is a very rewarding task. You will have the support of your local ACO and can learn whilst doing a valuable, well essential, duty for the charity.

and if you visit me, you're going to be on little guy watch. Gonna make you spend 16 hours a day, watching, playing, cleaning feeding and then dare you to tell me they are 'thickos'.

and, you'll have to spend those 16 hours in full dress uniform (no I haven't forgotten) just to amuse me! LOL

LOL Steve, I don't remember you from Colchester but even though I'm a happily married old lady, I can always make use of a man in uniform!!

Ian/Oodie has been taunting us girlies for a year now about pics in his full dress uniform and they have neve come across ......as yet. He also had the cheek to goad me saying little ones are thickos....so for his cheek, he has to come dressed appropriately and spend all his waking hours pandering to the whims of my little ones!!

You're more than welcome to join him if that unifrom still fits PMSL!!

LOL - was getting a bit worried there that i might have left my mark in colchester for a min, had me worried and the girlfriend asking lots of questions lol - the only part of my dress uniform to fit me know would be my socks and boots, and maybe the bow tie lol - happy days them. will have to see if i have any old pictures and post them for all.  if we both come does that mean we only have to do 8 hours each lol
