Welcome to birdline and good luck with your new arrivals. I can understand what you say about the Quaker being a joy, I have a disabled BL one here and he is an absolute darling. I was asked to have him for 2 days and six months later he is still here....and still looking for a forever home. That wouldn't have happened with a conure, I can't cope with their noise, so shrill. We look forward to pictures of the new cage and hope they settle together.

Probably one of two things - Either loves him - or Hates him lol Have you had the bird out the cage yet? How does he react to your son?

Awww that's a shame, I certainly would like to see if it's love or hate with the little one!

My two safehouse birds put up with me but just love my daughter.  They start shrieking as she walks up our road and continue until she comes in and goes to see them.  I am amazed at how good their eyesight is as the dogs take age before they make out it is her and they are sighthounds!!!  Perhaps it is love with your son too.
