Hi everyone...

Sooooo glad to be able to talk to people about parrots!!!Everyone I know and at work thinks im a bit crazy because im so in to parrots and the fact that i adore them so much.I also drive my boyfriend crazy because its al I ever talk about  so he will be very pleased that I can  talk someone else crazy now.

A bit about myself...Im 22 and from South Africa, I finished school at 18 and then came straight over here.Unfortunately when I decided to come over here I had to make the very sad decision of leaving my african grey Basjan behind with my parents...I still see him once a year when I go back to visit and the both of us are so happy to see each other again when i go to visit.

I use to be a proffesional highboard and springboard diver for 12 years but had to give it up when i started working due to not being able to fit my 4 hours of training a day in with my work schedule.

Ever since i came over here ive been looking for a companion parrot(3 years)...someone to love and spoil with attention in my free time.I currently have 2 conures..a greencheeck(featured in my photo) and bella a cinnamon that I handreared myself. They are my 2 little babies and I love them more than anything.I have alot of experience with parrots and love handrearing.

I recently decided to adopt a bigger parrot and sooo now I find myself with birdline, which im very exited about because I myself was adopted when I was 4 years old and dont know my real parents but my foster parents(that I see as my only parents) have given me a wonderful life and so I hope to do the same now for a parrot that needs a loving forever home.

Hi Belinda, welcome to the forum

I know what you mean about wanting to talk bird all day, we have 9 Macaws (2 minature and 7 large) and they are just our complete lives.

Other people just don`t quite understand so you need the forums to meet other like minded bird fanatics.
