Hello,

We took in Tootsie from the lovely Adie and Hazel a few moths ago and we were told that she was rather unpredictable and a grumpy madam. How right we were!! For the first few weeks Tootsie was grumpy, noisy, determined to bite anything or anyone that came within reach.

However, after her settling in period she became much more relaxed and after a lot of effort she began to trust us and I can say that she now trusts us completely. She calls out our names whenever we leave the room and she happily spends all day and night crawling up and down us and swinging on her swing. When the weather permits she spends her time flying around the aviary and doing chicken impressions.

She is now a totally loving and content bird and is completely different to the moody, grumpy girl tht first spent the journey home being sick on our shoulders. She also has an uncanny ability to smell scrambled egg from 40 miles!!

We are so happy to have her in our life and thank birdline so much for the opportunity to for us and Tootsie. She is certainly incredibly happy in her new home.

Andy & Jamie

That is fantastic news Andrew, We are so glad Toot's has settled with you. She really needed to be

An only Macaw lol, she used to get so jealous of all our other birds especialy "H" our other B&G, He

is back to his big softy self already and has gone back to lying upside down in my arms for cuddles each

evening. I could tell straight away Tootsie would fall in love with you, by the way she bit you the first time you met

because you still had all of your fingers when you left. Well done to the both of you and i hope you share many

many years together with her
